Why we exist
India produces more pressmud than its sugar mills can dispose of, and more cattle manure than its farmers can spread. The country also imports a growing share of its transport fuel. Circle CBG was incorporated in 2021 to convert that surplus into vehicle-grade compressed biogas for delivery into the National Capital Region under SATAT.

Circle CBG is a vertically integrated compressed-biogas operator. We own the full value chain — land and permitting, EPC and commissioning, day-to-day operations, and value-added co-products in organic manure and carbon credits. Engineering, process design, and digital plant monitoring are led in-house, pairing process-engineering discipline with deep Western UP industrial roots.
Our vision is a Western Uttar Pradesh platform of standardized 24 TPD plants — each built and operated to the same proven standard, powered by data and AI. Plant 1 has produced CBG for sale since August 2024; its expansion from 14.6 to 24 TPD is in execution for November 2026 commissioning, funded by a blend of internal accruals, term debt, and capital subsidies (MNRE Waste-to-Energy disbursement received; UPNEDA and UNIDO incentives in process).

A board, platform leadership, and the Meerut plant leadership team. Engineering credentials from IIT-Kanpur, MIT, Cornell, UC Berkeley, and Tufts; operating depth across UEM Group (exited to Toshiba in 2018), Cognizant, Ensaras, Puran Water, and decades of Western UP sugar and allied industry.
Chairman
Five decades leading water and wastewater companies and a pioneer of anaerobic digestion in India. His last venture, UEM Group, exited to Toshiba Water Solutions in 2018. Serves as technical expert to Circle CBG.
Director
Founder of Amit Enterprises, with five decades consulting to sugar mills, paper mills, and allied industries across Western Uttar Pradesh. Serves as on-site advisor across all functional groups. IIT-Kanpur classmate of Kris Kshetry.
Platform Operations Head
Twenty years in design-build wastewater, with expertise in digitization and AI for optimizing plant operations. Leads the platform operations team. Founder of Ensaras, the AI and analytics platform that monitors Circle CBG plant operations.
Platform Technical Head
Twenty years in design-build wastewater, leading detailed design, engineering, and agentic-AI workflows for EPC and engineering. Leads the platform technical team. Founder of Puran Water.
Plant Operations Head
Twenty years in IT consulting at Cognizant. Now oversees Meerut plant operations staff and CBG production full-time.
Permitting, Compliance, Offtake & Accounting
A decade consulting to sugar mills, paper mills, and allied industries. Responsible for product offtake, permitting, accounting, and compliance at the Meerut plant.
