Land registered in 2021, commissioned in 2022, in continuous commercial operation since. The 24 TPD expansion is in execution now.

GAIL Gas offtake LOI
August 2021. Letter of intent from GAIL Gas Limited for CBG offtake at minimum guaranteed price under the SATAT scheme.
2022
Construction and commissioning
October 2021 to October 2022. Civil works through commissioning, timed to start of the sugar-mill crushing season.
2022—
Commercial operation
Since October 2022. Daily production consistently in the 14–15 TPD range, with single-day output above 15 TPD demonstrated in April 2026.

24 TPD expansion underway
Target end-2026. Sixth digester, additional desulfurisation train, second high-pressure compressor.
Site selection
Why Meerut, why this site.
The plant was sized to a feedstock catchment that doesn’t need to be discovered — it was already there, looking for an outlet.
Pressmud-rich district
10+ sugar mills inside a 60 km radius produce 3,060 mt/day of pressmud during the crushing season. Mawana Sugar Mill is just 7 km from the gate; Daurala 33 km; Nanglamal 20 km.
Local livestock for cow manure
Uttar Pradesh hosts 19 million heads of cattle. Meerut District alone has 2,700+ dairies and gaushalas. The plant requires manure from roughly 4,000 cattle.
Route to NCR demand
16 GAIL Gas CNG stations operating in Meerut District, with the wider National Capital Region a primary CNG market in India. Mobile cascades dispatch CBG daily.
